Latest update on influenza A (H1N1) vaccination

➢ IN FRANCE : Following the measures taken by the Ain Prefect, a vaccination centre against the flu H1N1 is organised for the whole of the Pays de Gex in the salle de la Bretonnière, on the route de Mategnin in Prévessin-Moëns. The centre is open to anyone wanting information and/or wanting to get vaccinated (with or without social security). This vaccination is free and is done on a voluntary basis. Priority is given to people at risk for the moment.

➢ IN SWITZERLAND: The Swiss Confederation has decided to offer the vaccination to members of the International Organisations of Geneva:

1. For holders of a Swiss card or employment attestation living in Switzerland or abroad:
1.1 All people in the categories at risk: (pregnant women or those having recently given birth, people suffering from chronic illness and those living under the same roof) and children under 18 years old must go to their family doctor in order to be vaccinated. To find out where the medical centres for the vaccination are and for the list of people considered a priority in Switzerland, go to this website.
1.2 For all non-priority people: Free access to the vaccine at: Caserne des Vernets, infirmerie, Quai des Vernets, 1211 GENEVE 26 Tel : 079 781 55 2. This centre will be open from the end of NOVEMBER and on appointment only by telephone (do not forget to take your Swiss card and employment attestation with you on the day of your appointment).

2. For ex-international civil servants and their families insured by UNIQA and living in Switzerland: vaccinations can be done at the same centre as in Point 1.2 when you show your UNIQA card. For people in the categories at risk and children under the age of 18, they do not have access to the Swiss Army vaccination centres and are treated in the same way as in Point 1.1

➢ EN FRANCE : Suite aux dispositions prises par la Préfecture de l’Ain, un centre de vaccination contre la grippe H1N1 est organisé pour l’ensemble du Pays de Gex dans la salle de la Bretonnière, route de Mategnin à Prévessin-Moëns. Le centre est ouvert à toute personne souhaitant des renseignements, et/ou souhaitant se faire vacciner (possédant ou non le coupon de la sécurité sociale). Cette vaccination est gratuite et sur base volontaire. Priorité est donnée aux personnes à risques dans un premier temps. ➢ EN SUISSE : La Confédération Suisse a décidé d’offrir la vaccination aux membres des Organisations Internationales de Genève :

1. Pour les personnes titulaires d’une carte de légitimation ou d’une attestation de fonction domiciliées en Suisse OU à l’étranger :
1.1 Toutes les personnes appartenant aux catégories dites à risque : (femmes enceintes ou dans post-partum, personnes souffrant de maladies chroniques et personnes vivant sous le même toit ) et enfant de moins de 18 ans doivent se rendre obligatoirement chez leur médecin traitant pour se faire vacciner. 1.2 Pour les personnes non prioritaires : Accès au vaccin gratuitement à la : Caserne des Vernets, infirmerie, Quai des Vernets, 1211 GENEVE 26 Tel : 079 781 55 25 Ce centre ne sera opérationnel qu’à partir de fin NOVEMBRE et uniquement sur rendez-vous préalable et par téléphone (ne pas oublier de présenter la carte de légitimation et l’attestation de fonction le jour du rendez-vous)

2. Pour les anciens fonctionnaires internationaux et leurs familles assurés UNIQA ET domiciliés en Suisse : même centre que le point 1.2 sur présentation de la carte d’UNIQA. Les personnes appartenant aux catégories dites à risque et les enfants âgés de moins de 18 ans n’ont pas accès aux centres de vaccination de l’Armée suisse et sont traités de même manière qu’au point 1.1.
